St. John's Lutheran Church on Oakwood Road in Oak Creek invited me to their LST lunch and meeting to do a presentation on "Guide Me Home".
I was especially thrilled to talk to these ladies since I know so many of them so well. I'm a former of their church and was happy to get re-acquainted with them after so many years.
I introduced them to Emma, Neil, and Freddie by putting on my cloche hat and speaking to them as if we were in 1926. It's always interesting to me when several of the ladies said they remember doing some of the things that Emma had to do when she was a young girl on the farm - especially waking up in a cold bedroom where water had turned to ice during the night and racing downstairs to the potbelly stove to get dressed.
We had a great time. I want to thank them for inviting me to their church to share my book with them.
I'd be happy to share my information with your church ladies' group or book club also. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

I enjoyed answering questions that the church librarians asked me about writing and publishing my novel.
"Guide Me Home" should appear on the shelves of several church libraries in the near future according to the women I spoke with.
Thanks to NPH for letting me attend the event. I had a great time.
